Covenant Homepage

Welcome to Covenant United Methodist Church on the web. This website is here for our guest and members to be a portal for quick and accurate information, with the ease of availability.

Covenant is “Open Hearts, Minds, & Doors” and this is an invitation for you to get to know the church. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email or call.

Our purpose is to “Go as one voice to hundreds of people and proclaim New Life in Christ!” This is one of the many ways in which we can do that. If you have a prayer concern, praise, question, or just general message, please email us (you can find that under the “Know” tab).

Covenant is celebrating 52 years in the West Charlotte community! Covenant is now prepared to be able to serve another 50 years within the community of West Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. Our history dates back to 1959, when we started out as Tuckeseegee Road Methodist Church. We still have charter members of the church within the congregation today, as well as generations from those original families. In 1971, Covenant was born with the merger of Tuckaseegee and Wesley Heights Methodist churches.

Our Covenant holds true still today…We are all people of God, Doers of God’s work, and for years to come we will continue to be an avenue for our community to walk their path and fulfill their journey with our Lord and Savior!

We hope to see you soon!

    Hello everyone,

Hope all are well and warm..

I have missed my fellow CMC friends.

I went to the beach on Christmas pm ( before the snow came to Ctl. area). I returned last Thur.

After attending candlelight services at CMC & Christ Pres. , I visited with my Mom, Mary Lee Eddens, at Sardis Oaks Nursing Home. We shared Christmas together by listening & watching the candlelight services on my Iphone. It was the first time in many years that Mom & I were blessed to share the Good News together . I heard Mom sing the beautiful Christmas caroles and saw her listening intently to the pastors’ messages. These few hours on very early Christmas morn were as special any Christmas I can ever remember… It is my prayer that we can do likewise in 2011.

Yes, the Good Book tells us about the meaning of gifts during the Christmas season. The gift of sharing the candlelight services with Mom did not come from any store or online service. The gift came from dear members of my “new” home church and my former church of 57 yrs. Jesus’ birth was proclaimed once again with joy to the world and angels surrounded us early Dec 25 morn.

Thank you each for your generous welcome to CMC.

May God be with each of you and your families during 2011.

Beacause He lives, we can face tomorrow.

    Peggy

PS. Look forward to the chicken & dumplin supper this Sat. pm.
